Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney is all legs in a floaty white minidress after admitting she ate “too many fries.” The 25-year-old vault queen, who has made 2021 headlines for opening up on her past disordered eating, recently showcased both her Olympian body and her healthy appetite on Instagram, posting for her 1.4 million followers and dropping major style in the process.

McKayla, who has admitted to a major Diet Coke habit in the past and is now mostly vegan, reminded her followers that a little cheat food doesn’t hurt – likewise, a sense of humor.

Posing outdoors in the California sunshine and looking like a total doll, McKayla stunned her fans in a preppy and super-cute look, wearing a lacy white and thigh-grazing minidress, plus a cropped navy blue sweater. Holding a quilted black Chanel bag, the GEICO face threw her head back a little while in semi-profile, peeping her toned legs and wearing chic dark shades atop her head.

Snapped by brick steps and showing off her plump pout, McKayla took to her caption writing: “Hope everyone had a nice Sunday. I definitely just ate too many french fries.”

“Is there such thing as too many french fries? Lol,” a fan quickly replied. A fan echoing the thought responded with nearly the exact same comment, writing: “Is there really such a thing as too many?”

Coming from an industry notorious for its focus on weight, McKayla hasn’t had it easy with food and body image. Earlier this year, the gymnast revealed battling both binge eating disorder and anorexia in the past. In 2019, she opened up to Byrdie, revealing:

“I would drink 24-ounce Cokes, and my parents weren’t really health freaks. But [my perspective] totally changed. When I couldn’t work out, I was feeling sick; my body kind of freaked out like, ‘We can’t lay in bed all day!’”

Despite no longer being on the beam, Maroney maintains her fitness – posting to her Glohé wellness account earlier this year and while sunbathing in a spandex gym set, the star wrote:

“Happy Sunday! ☀️ Hope you’re having a good day wherever you are in the world. I just finished my morning workout! 🤸‍♀️Quick reminder to keep your squats low, and your standards high. 😘”
