The defending Class A sectional champion held a 2-0 halftime lead Saturday before pulling away with three more scores after intermission. The Bees were led offensively by Julia Schultz, who had a hat-trick, as well as Sydney Huhtala and Bridget Roy, who each tallied two assists.

Following the championship game, the Coach Stacy Huntington Memorial Award recipients were announced.

“This was the first year we added in the award for the varsity championship teams,” Baldwinsville coach Tessa Ordway said. “Each team chose a player from the opposing team that was a standout on the field and demonstrated all the qualities Stacy stood for. It was presented by Molly Huntington, Stacy’s daughter, who was a senior in the 2018 season.”

Bees senior Isabella Nadzan and Warriors sophomore Sydney Labayewski earned this year’s awards.
